Impressively thorough. Even the simple operators manual helped me "fix" one of the 2 CD players in the unit. This unit reads CD's from the top so they should be installed in the magazines "upside down" from typical CD players. The CD player service manual helped me unjam a stuck carriage because somebody transported the box laying down loaded with CD's. A little lens cleaning & the player now works well! Thanks for you help at a great price! Joe

I was skeptical at first but later found the manual to be good quality for the price. It took a couple hours to receive the email with the download link, well worth the wait. Thanks.

7. Switch power on. Printed characters may become unclear if you use the same ink cartridge for more than six months. For best results, each ink cartridge should be replaced about once every six months. When you open the ink cartridges box, you may find some ink that has leaked inside. This does not necessarily indicate a problem, and the cartridge can be used as it is. Never touch the electrical contacts of the ink cartridge or calculator. If the electrical contacts become dirty, wipe them off with a cotton swab moistened in alcohol. Never touch the ink cartridge while printing is being performed. Forcing the ink cartridge to stop can result in malformed characters and printer malfunction (Figure 6).
(Figure 6)
5-2. What to do when print quality is poor
Print quality can be affected by various factors. For example, strong vibration or impact may cause air to get into the ink cartridge. Clear printing may be impossible at very low temperatures. Whenever you have a problem with print quality, try performing the following procedures. First try performing a number of test prints to see if the problem corrects itself. If the above does not correct the problem, perform the following procedure. 1. Remove the cartridge from the calculator. 2. Use the plastic rod on the inside of the printer cover or a paper clip to push up on the bladder inside the cartridge until ink is emitted from the ink cartridge (see Figure 7).
(Figure 7) 3. Use a tissue to wipe the ink from the print head (see Figure 8).
(Figure 8) 4. Re-install the ink cartridge into the calculator.
5-3. Replacing the Ink Cartridge
Any of the following symptoms indicates that you may need to replace the ink cartridge (IH-20). When print quality is poor even after you perform the procedure under 5-2 What to do when print quality is poor When the ink bladder appears as shown in the illustration below. After you have used the same ink cartridge for about six months.
For details on replacing the ink cartridge, see 5-1 Installing the Ink Cartridge Always use an IH-20 ink cartridge. Any other type can damage the calculator. Never touch the electrical contacts of the ink cartridge or calculator. If the electrical contacts become dirty, wipe them off with a cotton swab moistened in alcohol. (* Note: Ink cartridge will be supplied from our sales division.)
