Thanks so much for the Owner's manual for my Sony PS - FL1. I had purchased the turntable off of eBay. It came in and looked great. Packed well and appeared to be great. I balanced and aligned the tone are and hooked it up. When trying to play a record the tone are would move to the right place and just before it would drop to play it moved back off the edge of the record before touching down. I searched the net for an answer to this issue. No luck. Then I purchased the owners manual and sure enough there was a place to adjust where the stylus touched down. That adjustment solved the problem and saved me a $35 feet to have the player checked out. The manual is well written and easy to understand. It is a must have for anyone with this front loading Sony turntable.
 G-9000 SANSUI Owner's Manual by Laurence White;
Some years back I pruchased a Sansui G-9000. I had it cleaned up and a problem with the left channel repaired. When I got it back I hooked it up to my tape decks, turn tables, TV and it played great. The only thing I was not really satisfied with was the performance of my Graphic Equalizer. I purchased this owner's manual had poured myself a cup of coffee. The manual is well organized and written in plain language. It also contained the solution to my dissatisfaction. By using the preamp connections coupled I was able to run everything through my graphic equalizer and now enjoy the full potential of my complete system.

An excellent service for the price, however, it would also have been handy if the troubleshooter pages were included. The manual is only sent in the language of your country, thus it looks as though there are some pages missing. Otherwise highly recommended.

4. When the character you want is at the cursor position, press C to move the cursor to the right. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the name is complete. • You can input up to eight characters for the name. 6. After you input the name, press C as many times as necessary to move the cursor to the number area. • You can input up to eight characters for the name. When the cursor is located at the eighth space of the name, moving the cursor to the right causes it to jump to the first digit of the number. When the cursor is at the 12th digit of the number, moving it to the right (by pressing C) causes it to jump to the first character in the name. 7. Use B and D to change the character (hyphen, number, or space) at the cursor position in the number area. The character changes in the following sequence.

ALARM
Hourly time signal on You can set a Daily Alarm. When an alarm is turned on, indicator the alarm tone sounds when the alarm time is reached. Timekeeping Mode time You can also turn on an Hourly Time Signal that causes

the watch to beep twice every hour on the hour. • The alarm and Hourly Time Signal operate in accordance with the current digital time (Timekeeping Mode time). • All of the operations in this section are performed in the Alarm Mode, which you enter by pressing C.

8. When the character you want is at the cursor position, press C to move the cursor to the right. 9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until you complete number input. • You can input up to 12 digits for the number. • The number initially contains all hyphens. You can leave the hyphens or replace them with numbers or spaces. 10. Press A to store your data and return to the Telememo record screen (without the cursor). • When you press A to store data, the message may appear on the display for a while, indicating that data is being sorted. After the sort operation is complete, the Telememo record screen appears.

To set the alarm time
1. In the Alarm Mode, hold down A until the hour digits of the alarm time start to flash. • This automatically turns on the alarm. 2. Press C to move the flashing between the hour and minutes. 3. While a setting is flashing, use D(+) to change it. • When setting the alarm time using the 12-hour format, take care to set the time correctly as a.m. (no indicator) or p.m. (P indicator). 4. Press A to return to the alarm display screen.

To recall Telememo records In the Telememo Mode, use D(+) and B(–) to scroll through Telememo records on the display. To edit a Telememo record 1. In the Telememo Mode, scroll through the records and display the one you want to edit. 2. Hold down A until the flashing cursor appears on the display. 3. Use C to move the flashing to the character you want to change. 4. Use B and D to change the character. • For details on inputting characters, see “To create a new Telememo record” (step 3 for name input and 7 for number input). 5. After making the changes that you want, press A to store them and return to the Telememo record screen. To delete a Telememo record 1. In the Telememo Mode, scroll through the records and display the one you want to delete. 2. Hold down A until the flashing cursor appears on the display. 3. Press B and D at the same time to delete the record. • The message appears to indicate that the record is being deleted. After the record is deleted, the cursor appears on the display, ready for input. 4. Input data or press A to return to the Telememo record screen.

Daily Alarm Operation
The alarm sounds at the preset time each day for about 20 seconds, or until you stop it by pressing any button. • The alarm and hourly time signal sound in all modes.

To test the alarm In the Alarm Mode, hold down D to sound the alarm. To turn the Daily Alarm and Hourly Time Signal on and off In the Alarm Mode, press B to cycle through the on and off settings as shown below.

World Time shows the current time in 27 cities (29 time zones) around the world. • For full information on city codes, see the “CITY CODE TABLE”. • The time zone that corresponds to the selected city code flashes on the world map. • All of the operations in this section are performed in the World Time Mode, which you enter by pressing C.

The stopwatch lets you measure elapsed time, split times, and two finishes. • The display range of the stopwatch is 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59.99 seconds. • The stopwatch continues to run, restarting from zero after it reaches its limit, until you stop it. • The stopwatch measurement operation continues even if you exit the Stopwatch Mode. • All of the operations in this section are performed in the Stopwatch Mode, which you enter by pressing C. • The time on the screen may not appear to stop immediately when you press the button to stop an elapsed time operation or perform a split time operation in the Stopwatch Mode. Despite this, the time recorded by your button operation is accurate.

City code Current time in the selected city code

To view the time in another city code While in the World Time Mode, press D to scroll forward through the city codes (time zones) and B to scroll back. • If the current time shown for a city is wrong, check your Timekeeping Mode time and Home City code settings and make the necessary changes.

To toggle a city code time between standard time and Daylight Saving Time 1. In the World Time Mode, use B and D to display the city code (time zone) whose standard time/Daylight Saving Time setting you want to change. 2. Hold down A for about two seconds to toggle Daylight Saving Time (DST displayed) and standard time (DST not displayed). • The DST indicator is on the display whenever you display a city code for which Daylight Saving Time is turned on. • Note that the DST/Standard Time setting affects only the currently displayed city code. Other city codes are
not affected. • Note that you cannot switch between standard time and Daylight Saving Time while is selected as the city code.
